Some rattling good yarns of the sea...

The Isles of Scilly - 40 miles off the extreme western tip of England - are a beautiful, sometimes wild, place where more ships have been wrecked than anywhere else in the world.

Here are some tales of the sea: about tragedy and heroism, and about tranquillity and gentle sailing. The British are an Island Race, and I hope that you enjoy sharing my love of the sea and all that the sea has inspired.

Many of these tales (listed below) have been collected into a 160-page hardbackbook with over 200 black-and-white archive photographs - 'Tresco Times - The Last Piece of England'.

You can order it here on-line via our secure server at the special price of £25, with subsidised shipping.
